Congratulations, you found the Easter Egg!

Thanks for taking the time to read all 23 pages of the new Craft rules (or at least, taking enough time to notice the different-colored letters I hid in it, piece together the URL, and punch it into your web browser.)  You get two prizes!

-----

First prize: the recipe for a holy weapon!

Holy:  Holy weapons can only be created by characters of Good alignment, with at least 7 ranks in the Craft (Weapons) skill.  In addition to the usual required materials, the weapon must be anointed with holy water and blessed by a Good cleric or paladin immediately after forging.  Adding the holy property to a weapon increases the item's Craft DC by +7.

-----

Second reward: the recipe for an artifact!

The Axe of the Dwarvish Lords
(Major Artifact)
Craft DC 40

Requirements:
Creator must be a dwarf.
Creator must have 20 ranks in Craft (Weapons).
Creator must have 10 ranks in Knowledge (History).
Creator must be a sworn enemy of goblins in some way (a Ranger who has selected goblins as his favored enemy, for example, or a character who has been geased to slay a hundred goblins.)

Materials:
10 pounds of raw iron ore, taken from the Elemental Plane of Earth.

Construction:
The axe must be crafted at a dwarven forge that is at least 500 years old.  Once the item is finished, its creator must awaken it by slaying a goblin king with it in single combat...once this is accomplished, the weapon becomes the artifact described in the Pathfider SRD.  Until awakened, it is a non-magical masterwork weapon.

This is a good example of what to expect when crafting an artifact...you will need to do more than just rent somebody's forge for a week and then make a Craft check.  A lot more.  Artifacts are kind of a big deal.

I'm sure you are thinking something like "What kind of crappy prize is this?"  But remember: your character does not automatically know how to make every magic item in the game.   Without a recipe like the ones I've provided here, all you will ever know how to make are ordinary items...excellent quality items, sure, but still ordinary.  So this prize is actually pretty rad.

Most of the time, you can get a recipe for an item by making a DC 10 Knowledge (arcana) check.  More powerful or complicated recipes might be DC 15 or DC 20, but you won't have to worry about those anytime soon.  You will also find various recipes scattered all over the game world, written on old scrolls and tablets, or hidden deep in ruined temples.  Once you have learned a recipe for an item, you will always have it at your disposal...I will add it to a folder on Google Drive.

Oh, and shoot me an e-mail when you finish reading this.  The first person to e-mail the word "widdershins" to me gets bonus XP.
